Our client commissioned Yellow Entertainment to deliver their winter party in 2017. The brief was that they wanted an opulent Winter Party no more than 30 minutes from their offices in Soho for 500 guests. After an extensive venue search, we landed on the Sky Garden at the top of the Walkie Talkie.

The team moved into the venue at midnight, we cleared the existing furniture and loaded in in excess of 80 tonnes of fake trees, foliage and Christmas props (all fully documented, and risk assessed after CAD plans and renders had been submitted in preparation). We built through the night and the next day until 15:00 when we handed over to the operations team, technical team and performers.
Rhubarb food where responsible for the F&B delivering alpine inspired canapes and buffets to a fine dining standard. Transport to the venue was in vintage route-master buses. The doors at 19:00 saw 500 guests ascend to this extraordinary exclusive enchanted forest in the sky, looking down on Tower Bridge and festive lights of London topped off by headline performances from Ella Eyre and many more.
The Yellow team hosted the guests until 00:00, clearing the venue without incident and then proceeded to de-rig and unload, clearing the venue completely well in time for our 06:00 curfew.
This event was a real ‘game changer’ for us here at Yellow, a seemingly impossibly tight turnaround to deliver truly world class service, standards and entertainment.
